GoldBod records significant rise in gold sales in 2025 – Sammy Gyamfi

Mr Gyamfi explained that GoldBod’s expanded operations were helping to bring more gold trading activities into the formal economy, allowing the state to better track transactions, identify market participants and derive greater economic value from the country’s gold resources.

The Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Gold Board (GoldBod), Sammy Gyamfi, says the institution recorded a significant increase in gold sales in 2025, reflecting growing activity within Ghana’s formal gold market.

Mr Gyamfi maintained that GoldBod would continue to strengthen its systems and expand its oversight of the gold market to ensure that increased gold production and sales translate into greater benefits for the Ghanaian economy.
