GNFS rescues fuel tanker driver and mate in Tamale

The Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) has rescued a fuel tanker driver and his mate after the tanker they were travelling in overturned at Adubili Yili in Tamale.
Firefighters from the Northern Regional Headquarters Sub-Station responded promptly to the incident and found the tanker, which was carrying approximately 45,000 litres of diesel, overturned with the two occupants trapped inside.
During the rescue operation, two buses were involved in a separate collision, with one of them crashing into a parked GNFS fire appliance and damaging its air system.
