Gender Minister calls for collective action to protect children

The Minister for Gender, Children and Social Protection, Dr Agnes Naa Momo Lartey, has called for sustained investment and stronger collaboration among stakeholders to strengthen the country’s child protection system and eliminate child labour exploitation.

The conference, organised by the International Justice Mission (IJM), brought together policymakers, development partners, traditional leaders, law enforcement agencies and child protection advocates to discuss sustainable solutions to end child labour exploitation.” Child protection investment Dr Lartey commended development partners, including the IJM, UNICEF and the International Labour Organisation (ILO), for supporting the country’s efforts to improve child protection systems, public awareness and policy reforms.
