Energy Commission of Ghana signs MoU with Abu Dhabi’s South Utilities

A file photo of Adwoa Serwaa Bondzie and Ali Al Shimmari The Energy Commission of Ghana has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Global South Utilities (GSU), a resources investment company based in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, to formalise cooperation in the energy sector.

Bondzie said the partnership would help identify “practical areas of collaboration that deliver tangible value for Ghana’s energy sector,” while Al Shimmari affirmed GSU's commitment to supporting the Commission's “energy transition and long-term economic growth.

The MoU was signed in Accra by Adwoa Serwaa Bondzie, Acting Executive Secretary of the Energy Commission and Ali Al Shimmari, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of GSU, following approval by the Minister for Energy and Green Transition, Hon.
