CHAPRO urges constitutional review to allow Mahama to seek 2028 mandate

Appiah Daniel, said Ghana’s ongoing economic recovery and national development efforts require continuity in leadership beyond the two-term constitutional limit.

Pro-NDC pressure group calling itself Ghanaians for Progress (CHAPRO) has appealed for a review of Ghana’s constitutional presidential term limit to allow President John Dramani Mahama to contest the 2028 presidential election.

Appiah also appealed to citizens, traditional authorities, workers, the youth and civil society organisations to support the campaign for constitutional reforms that would permit the President to seek another term in office.
