Benin to host ICASA 2027 HIV conference

Benin will host the 24th International Conference on AIDS and STIs in Africa (ICASA 2027), becoming the first West African country to stage the continental health forum.

Mr Luc Armand Bodea, ICASA Director and Coordinator of the Society for AIDS in Africa (SAA), announced Benin’s selection during the 2026 International AIDS Conference in Brazil, where health leaders reviewed progress in the global HIV response.

The SAA called on governments, donors, researchers, civil society organisations and international partners to support preparations for the conference and sustain investment in innovative responses to HIV, STIs and emerging public health threats.
