New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia has held a productive meeting with the Japanese Ambassador to Ghana, His Excellency Hiroshi Yoshimoto, and his team, including representatives of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA).

In a statement issued after the discussions, Dr Bawumia said the talks centred on strengthening bilateral relations between Ghana and Japan and expanding cooperation in several priority areas.“Our discussions focused on strengthening our bilateral ties and deepening cooperation in key areas, including digitalisation, fintech, artificial intelligence, flood control and methods to combat galamsey,” he stated.
