AGI urges shift from stability to industrial-led economy

Quality standards The Director-General of the Ghana Standards Authority (GSA), Professor George Agyei, said strategic industrialisation could only deliver the desired economic transformation if it was underpinned by quality standards, conformity assessment and a strong quality infrastructure.

The President of the AGI, Kofi Nsiah-Poku, who made this known at the launch of this year’s event in Accra on July 22, stated that while Ghana had made encouraging gains in restoring macroeconomic stability, the country must now leverage that foundation to drive strategic industrialisation.
