According to the Chief of Amakom, “attempts by the new queen mother and the Adonten Division to stop the alleged activities were unsuccessful, prompting the matter to be taken before the Kumasi Traditional Council.

Meanwhile, Nana Opoku Gyawu, the Adontenhene's chief linguist, was appointed as a liaison chief between the Adonten Division and Aduaben, but had no authority to interfere in the community's internal affairs.
