The Ghana National Association of Teachers (GNAT) has denied reports that the presidential candidate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) John Dramani Mahama has bribed them to campaign for him.

GNAT described the allegation as not only palpable false but also wicked sinister, mischievous and vexatious diabolical and malevolent. "Hence it should be treated with the contempt it deserves," a statement said. "GNAT as a responsible corporate social organization will make its voice heard on matters pertaining to the well-being of the country, teachers, pupils, and the citizenry at large," the statement added.
