Asante Kotoko failed to secure victory despite an early lead, settling for a 1-1 draw against Berekum Chelsea at the Golden City Park on Sunday in the fourth round of the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League.
The Porcupine Warriors started brightly, taking the lead just three minutes into the match when Kyei Dwamena finished off a well-timed cut-back from Dauda Saaka.
Kotoko, hoping to rebound from their previous draw against Young Apostles, looked in control during the early exchanges.
However, Berekum Chelsea fought back, and their persistence paid off in the 60th minute when captain Fuseini Zakaria leveled the score for the home side.
