Afia Pokua, a journalist at Agoo TV, found herself at the center of a controversy after she openly criticised the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, for his perceived silence amid ongoing conflicts between Ashantis and other tribes.

Speaking on Onua FM's 'Bribi Gye Gye wo,' hosted by Mona Gucci, Pokua expressed her frustration, calling out what she sees as Ashantis asserting superiority over other tribes and the Asantehene's failure to address it.

She received intense backlash following her recent visit to the Manhyia Palace, where she attempted to apologise for previous remarks that were viewed as disrespectful to the Asantehene.

However, her apology was rejected, and she was asked to leave, with instructions not to return.
