A Ghanaian PhD Candidate, Mercedes Nye Rowe Asamani has called out Dr Louise Carol Serwaa Donkor to account to the people of Ghana what the National Alternative Employment and Livelihood Programme for illegal miners (NAELP) launched in 2021 has done with monies given to them.
In a post on social media, Mercedes Nye Rowe Asaman who is a climate change advocate expressed worry over the failure of the project considering the fact that people who were engaged in galamsey went back to destroy the forest reserves and water bodies because there was no alternative provided by the Louise Carol led National Alternative Employment and Livelihood Programme for illegal miners (NAELP).
Her post shared via social media read "Can the National Alternative Employment and Livelihood Programme for illegal miners (NAELP) launched in 2021 and headed by Louise Carol account to Ghanaians what exactly they have used funds raised and accessed through climate finance funds to solve the galamsey menace?
I doubt people even remember we have such?
