Ghanaian YouTuber Wode Maya clashed with Kofi Ofosu Nkansah, the Chief Executive Officer of the National Entrepreneurship and Innovation Programme, on Facebook after Wode Maya advocated for the release of arrested Democracy Hub protesters.
In his post, Wode Maya expressed his disappointment with the trajectory of the country and its democracy.
Concerned about how individual rights are being curtailed and people being prevented from expressing their grievances about current events, he stated that the country has become unrecognisable in recent times, with people unable to voice their thoughts and rights. "This is Not The Same Ghana We Know!#FreetheCitizens", he posted on September 25 following the alleged inhumane treatment of arrested protesters by the police.
Kofi Ofosu Nkansah replied to Wode Maya by drawing comparisons to the Kenyan protests, where police cracked down on demonstrators.
