Former Arsenal midfielder Thomas Partey has appeared in court charged with raping two women at his £6million Hertfordshire mansion and sexually assaulting a third woman, as part of a series of alleged offences said to have taken place between 2021 and 2022.
The 32-year-old Ghana international is accused of three counts of rape against one complainant at his Hertfordshire home and two further counts of rape against a second alleged victim, one of which reportedly occurred at a luxury hotel in Spain.
A third woman claims Partey sexually assaulted her by lying on top of her, attempting to kiss her, and groping her without consent.
Partey, who left Arsenal at the end of June following the expiry of his contract, appeared at Westminster Magistrates' Court on Friday for a brief hearing in which he spoke only to confirm his personal details.
