Flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Former President John Dramani Mahama has said that the NDC has the experience to deal with the economic challenges facing Ghanaians.

He says the NDC has a track record of implementing proper policies to ameliorate the hardships of the people.

Although he admits that all was not rosy during the NDC's tenure, the conditions that existed under his administration were far better than what is pertaining currently.

Addressing a gather at Kokompe in Accra as part of his campaign tour on Friday, September 27, Mr Mahama said "we have the experience, we have done it before, I won't say all was rosy when we were in government but I will say our time was far better than this period." Mr Mahama further taunted the New Patriotic Party (NPP) quest to break the 8-year electoral cycle after he placed 8th on the boat paper. "The eight they say they will be breaking it is with me, I am holding on to it firmly, let them break it and let me see," he said.
