Former Black Stars midfielder, Derek Boateng, was very critical of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) following struggles of the Black Stars to get a suitable pitch in Ghana to play home games.

In recent weeks, the National Sports Authority (NSA) has closed down the Baba Yara Stadium, Accra Sports stadium and Cape Coast stadium in a bid to get these facilities ready for the next round of AFCON qualifiers, where the Black Stars are expected to host Sudan.

This was after a ban by CAF on Ghana's only approved international venue, Baba Yara Stadium due to poor pitch.

The ban means Ghana are searching for a new venue outside the country to host the next Black Stars game. "The GFA needs to wake up and do something because it is their job to make sure we have good pitches.
