The Ghana Police Service has informed the general public that they have opened all the roads that were closed to traffic as part of the Police Special Operations within Accra.
The roads were reopened at 6pm Monday, 23rd September 2024, "We would like to sincerely thank members of the public especially, the commuting public for your patience and cooperation throughout the period of the exercise. "We wish to also assure the public that the Police will continue to ensure security, law and order in the country," a statement said.
As part of its Special Operations in Accra, the Police earlier announced roadblocks and diversions in parts of Accra from 21st to 24th September 2024.
Traffic from CBD to Independence Avenue linking up to the Liberation Road was blocked at AU Roundabout.
