The outgoing Member of for the Essikado-Ketan Constituency in the Western Region, , has led the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) ary Candidate for Essikado-Ketan, Charles Onuawonto Bissue, to the palace of the Divisional Chief of Kojokrom, Nana Panyin Yena IV.

Ghartey and Bissue, who is likely to succeed him as Member of for Essikado-Ketan Constituency, paid a courtesy call on the Chief of Kojokrom at his palace.

During the visit, which was intended to formally introduce Charles Bissue to the traditional leader, Ghartey seized the opportunity to preach peace and unity in the area ahead of the 2024 presidential and parliamentary elections.

In his brief remarks, he said the people of Essikado-Ketan Constituency and indeed all Ghanaians are one people, saying emphatically, "we are all one people." The legislator called on the traditional rulers to support the NPP parliamentary candidate as they did him. "I ask that you support him the same way you supported me and pray for him the same way you did for me," he said.
