The General Secretary of the (NDC), , has issued a stern warning to party members attempting to shield suspects from prosecution.
Speaking at an event on September 6, 2025, Kwetey said that they had gotten wind of information about some party members trying to cut deals with individuals being prosecuted by the state. "Attorney General, I'm sure the pressure is mounting.
We at the level of the party are picking signals and the signals we are picking is that many among us, in spite of the fact that pleas and the pressure coming from the public that things have to be done properly, and punishment must be exacted, some among us are busy trying to cut deals with people who are supposed to be prosecuted," he fumed.
Fifi Kwetey went on to say that although the names of those involved would not be mentioned for now, the party may be forced to expose them if their actions persist. "Some are becoming (sic) through whom pressure is being brought to bear on people who are supposed to do what is right.
