The Traditional Council of Awukugua Akuapem, led by Abontendomhene Nana Baffuor Kumankum Sereko Ayerakwa II, has issued a warning to Osagyefo Oseadeeyo Agyeman Badu II, President of the Bono Regional House of Chiefs and Paramount Chief of the Dormaa Traditional Area, over his recent comments about the late legendary high priest Okomfo Anokye.
According to the Traditional Council, they will not sit idly by and allow the Dormaahene to insult the legacy of Okomfo Anokye, who hails from Awukugua.
They advised the Dormaahene to visit Awukugua to explore and verify Okomfo Anokye's various legacies for himself, rather than casting doubt on them from Dormaa.
The council further warned that if the Dormaahene continues to make derogatory remarks about Okomfo Anokye, they would pour libation and invoke the wrath of the gods of Awukugua against him. "Dormaahene should be careful with what he says.
