Chief Executive Officer for the National Entrepreneurship and Innovation Programme (NEIP), Eric Adjei, has condemned the decision by Minority Leader Afenyo Markin to engage in politics during the one-week observation of the late Ernest Kumi.
While addressing the gathering at the one-week observation at Wenchi, Afenyo-Markin used the opportunity to remind those gathered of the wickedness of the National Democratic Congress.
He indicated that, as a political party, the NDC was shameless for deciding to contest the Akwatia by-election when the NPP had stayed out of contesting the Tamale Central seat to allow for national cohesion and unity.
To him, NPP must rise and ensure the Akwatia seat is maintained in memory of Ernest Kumi, who worked tirelessly to ensure that the seat was taken away from the NDC. "The NDC has no shame; if they did, they wouldn't have contested for the Akwatia seat when the NPP decided not to contest the Tamale Central seat.
