Ahead of the Akwatia by-election, the Chief Executive Officer of the National Youth Authority (NYA), Osman Ayariga, has urged voters in the Akwatia Constituency not to feel intimidated by the heavy security presence in the town.
Giving them assurance, he stated that the police and other security agencies have been deployed solely to maintain peace and order.
Speaking during a community engagement with residents, Ayariga emphasised that the role of the security services is to safeguard voters and ensure that the election is conducted fairly and peacefully. "Don't be alarmed by the presence of police officers.
They are here to protect you and to provide security so that everyone can freely exercise their right to vote," he said.
