Earlier in the day, a member of the committee, Daniel Yaw Domelevo, made a cryptic post on his Facebook page, hinting at the outcome of the investigation into the first of three petitions filed against the Chief Justice. "The strife is over, the battle done.

Although not explicit, his post gained clearer meaning when the Minister for Government Communications, , announced just hours later that the President had acted on the committee's report to remove the Chief Justice.
