Ashanti Regional Minister, Dr Frank Amoakohene believes that for the fight against illegal mining to succeed, a united effort will be necessary.
He believes that the scattered efforts currently will not help win the fight.
In a Facebook post, he backed the decision to withdraw the IGP's Anti-Galamsey task force from the field in order to help streamline the fight against galamsey.
He said in his post that " My stance on the fight against illegal mining is simple: it must be well-coordinated and all-inclusive.
