English-born Ghanaian defender Terrel Agyemang has completed a move to National League side Morecambe FC in the summer transfer window.  The 22-year-old right-back, who can also play in central midfielder, signed a deal to join the Shrimps on a season-long loan from Middlesborough.

Agyemang becomes Morecambe's 14th signing in the transfer window following the takeover of the club by Punjab Warriors as they continue an intense rebuild.

Manager Ashvir Singh Johal, who has been following the career of the youngster since his days at Manchester City, insists Agyemang's experience is a huge factor in their decision to sign him. "Terrell is someone I have known about for a long time when he was a young player at Charlton.

He was bought by Manchester City was part of the best under 21 team in the country, as they won the Premier League 2 title during his time there," he told the club's media. "Terrell then joined Middlesborough and had experience in the first team.
