The Ghana Nurses and Midwives Association (GRNMA) has urged authorities to strengthen security measures in hospitals to ensure the safety of workers.

According to the Greater Accra regional chairman of the GRNMA, Jefferson Asare, the appeal is not for police personnel to just be stationed at hospitals, but rather to ensure a quick intervention during emergency cases.

Speaking on Channel One TV on August 23, 2025, he said, "We don't advocate that police should be stationed with us at the hospital.

But at least, there should be some level of protection.
