The Ghana Police Service has debunked reports suggesting that it is considering dismissal for the police officer who was indicted for assaulting an EIB Network journalist during the Ablekuma North election.
In a statement issued by the police on Friday, August 22, 2025, the police said that per their disciplinary standards, sanctions cannot be predetermined.
The Police in their statement explained that their internal disciplinary procedures are quasi-judicial, the outcome of which cannot be predetermined.
They therefore denied reports suggesting that they are considering dismissal for the police officer.
