Kofi Iddie Adams, Minister for Sports and Recreation, has paid a courtesy call on Professor Rita Akosua Dickson, Vice-Chancellor of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, on 22 August 2025 ahead of the Sports Medicine Association - Ghana; Sports Medicine Conference During the meeting at the Council Chamber, the Vice-Chancellor urged increased investment in campus sports infrastructure and appealed for the inclusion of priority facilities in the 2026 national budget.
She referenced ongoing works such as the hockey pitch and tennis facilities, noting KNUST's commitment to a holistic education model that values athlete wellbeing alongside academic excellence.
The Minister commended KNUST's leadership in integrating sports medicine into higher education.
