The Member of Parliament for the Abuakwa South Constituency in the Eastern Region, Dr Kingsley Agyemang, has condemned the recent attack on health professionals at the Greater Accra Regional Hospital, popularly known as Ridge Hospital.
Speaking on Ultimate FM's Cup of Tea program, moderated by Sachiel Ibn Yaccub, the legislator emphasised that healthcare facilities are places where the most vulnerable people are found.
By virtue of their medical conditions, these individuals face critical situations and require extensive caregiving and full attention to recover from the trauma they experienced, often due to accidents that put them in such a state.
He expressed dismay that these patients are now being exposed to uncivil, inhumane behaviour, which he described as almost a "coup d'état" on hospital facilities.
