Relatives of Stephen King Amoah, a 38-year-old immigration officer, whose partially burnt body was found in a gutter at Abuom Junction, near Kwabenya in the Greater Accra Region, have gathered at the Adabraka District Court as the hearing of the murder case continues on Friday, August 22, 2025.
The prime suspect, Bright Aweh, who is believed to have been the last person seen with the deceased officer, was remanded into custody for two weeks on Wednesday, August 9, 2025.
At a press briefing on Monday, August 4, 2025, the Director-General of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID), COP Lydia Yaako Donkor, provided details that painted a chilling picture of the crime.
According to COP Yaako, Amoah left his home on the night of July 3, 2025, after reportedly receiving photos of cash bundles from the suspect, Bright Aweh, who had promised to repay a debt.
