The Member of Parliament for Adansi Asokwa Constituency, Godwin Animli Dorgbadzi-Dorani, has disclosed that his victory over the former MP for the area, (KT Hammond), keeps earning him public praise and monetary rewards.
According to the MP, his victory in the 2024 general election was an act of liberation for the people of the constituency who had been under the leadership of the former MP for 24 years. "If, by the grace of God, the people of Adansi Asokwa have been liberated from trials and tribulations through me, the insults and all the disgrace should stop, because you people dash me money when I go out.
They ask, 'Are you the one who overthrew KT Hammond?' When I respond in the affirmative, I am given a token to buy fuel," he stated.
The MP made the comment when a High Court in Obuasi dismissed an election petition filed by the former MP to challenge Animli's victory.
