The Inspector General of Police (IGP), Christian Tetteh Yohuno, together with members of the Police Management Board (POMAB), has met with key stakeholders ahead of the upcoming Akwatia By-Election to deliberate on security preparations.
The engagement, held on Tuesday, August 19, 2025, provided an opportunity for the Police Service to brief political parties on security plans for the polls and listen to their concerns.
Party representatives welcomed the dialogue and emphasised the need for fairness and transparency in security deployment to boost public confidence in the process.
This meeting followed earlier consultations by the Police with the Electoral Commission (EC) on 12th August 2025.
