Cassiel Ato Forson has confirmed the successful payment of GH¢9.7 billion in coupons under the Domestic Debt Exchange Programme (DDEP).
In a statement issued today, August 19, 2025, the Ministry said: "We are pleased to announce another successful coupon payment under the Domestic Debt Exchange Programme.
The total amount paid for this obligation stands at GH¢9,698,815,220.17." According to the Ministry, this payment brings total disbursements under the DDEP in 2025 to GH¢19.4 billion. "This payment demonstrates Government's unwavering commitment to honouring the terms outlined in the Memorandum of Understanding signed under the exchange programme.
