The (EC) has announced that it will begin printing ballot papers for the upcoming Akwatia by-election on Wednesday, August 20, 2025.
Addressing journalists in Accra on Tuesday, August 19, 2025, following a meeting convened by the Inspector General of Police (IGP) Christian Tetteh Yohuno, the Director of Electoral Services at the EC, Benjamin Bano Bioh, disclosed that all preparations for the by-election are complete.
He stated that procurement processes have been finalized and the Commission is ready to deliver a smooth and credible by-election in Akwatia. "As of now, we will start printing the ballots from tomorrow.
Procurement has already been completed.
