Mrs Christiana Agyapong has called on the youth of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) to support the presidential bid of her husband, Mr Ken Ohene Agyapong, describing him as the leader with the capacity to create jobs for the next generation. She said Mr Agyapong represented the best option for the party if they desired to win back power and the youth must pledge their unflinching support to him to make it easier.Addressing a youth gathering of the party's youth in Accra on Monday, she said the NPP had over the years introduced interventions that had positively impacted lives, and Mr Agyapong's vision was to consolidate those gains by focusing on employment creation."Former President Kufuor brought Free Maternal Care which many women benefited from, and President Akufo-Addo gave our children Free Senior High School.Today, those children are of working age and need jobs, and my husband is bringing jobs as evidenced by his track record," she stated.Mrs Agyapong noted that her husband's entrepreneurial background and business experience placed him in a strong position to tackle unemployment.According to her, his candidacy represented honesty, action, and practical results, which had been demonstrated through decades of business activity. She urged the youth to take ownership of their future by supporting Mr Agyapong, stressing that his plans were not mere promises but backed by verifiable achievements."The NPP has always been about transformation.

With Ken Ohene Agyapong as flagbearer, we will secure jobs, empower the youth, and continue the party's legacy of delivering for households across the country," she added. The engagement, which attracted a large number of young people, was marked by expressions of support for Mr Agyapong's bid. Some participants described him as a "winnable and strong candidate" capable of leading the NPP into the next general elections.By Cliff Ekuful
