The Central Regional Police Command is pursuing a gang of armed robbers who engaged in a gun battle with Winneba Police after attempting to rob the Microfin Rural Bank at Gomoa Pomadze in the Gomoa Central District of the Central Region.
According to police reports, the robbers tied up security officers at the bank around 1:50 a.m.
before breaking into the premises in an attempt to steal money.
However, when a police patrol team arrived at the scene, the robbers opened fire on them.
