Liverpool manager Arne Slot has condemned the racial abuse against Ghana striker Antoine Semenyo during the opening match of the 2025/26 English Premier League on Friday night.
In the game played at Anfield, Semenyo had reported the moment he was abused to the referee, leading to the invitation of the technical heads of the two sides.
After the short break, the match continued with Liverpool cruising to a 4-2 win at the end of the contest.
Speaking after the match, Liverpool manager Arne Slot described the incident as unacceptable.
