The just-ended TESCON Women Commissioner election at the Akenten Appiah-Menka University of Skills Training and Entrepreneurial Development (AAMUSTED) has led to renewed conversations regarding who, between Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, and , truly has the heart of the New Patriotic Party.

This is ahead of the January 2026 NPP flagbearer election that is already gaining a lot of traction across the country, even before the actual contest begins.

In the AAMUSTED TESCON Wocom election, two of the leading candidates became the center of discussions after each of them were linked with either of the two leading NPP candidates, with the results of their election on Thursday, August 14, 2025, becoming a major, national political conversation.

According to reports that have emerged after the campus election, the winner, Priscilla Boateng, had been captured in a photo with the former NPP Flagbearer, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia; while her contender, Sandra Boateng, had also been captured on video being recently endorsed by the former Member of Parliament for Assin Central, .
