The Commonwealth Hansard Editors Association - Africa Region (CHEA-AR) has urged African parliaments, legislatures, and assemblies to invest in technological infrastructure and capacity building to enhance Hansard reporting, following its 11th Biennial Conference held in Accra, Ghana, from August 11 to 15, 2025.
In a communique issued on August 15, 2025, the association outlined eight resolutions aimed at improving parliamentary reporting across Africa.
The communique called for increased investment in technological systems, software, and tools to advance Hansard production.
It also emphasised the need for continuous training of Hansard officers in modern technologies to boost efficiency.
