Top personalities across various political divides are present at the Black Stars Square for the state funeral, on August 15, 2025, for the six victims who perished in the fatal August 6, 2025, helicopter crash.
Among the dignitaries present are President and his spouse Lordina Mahama, as well as Vice President Prof Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang.
Also present were Speaker Alban Bagbin, former presidents and , and former Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, all seated together.
Other political figures spotted at the funeral are Alexander Afenyo-Markin, Minority Leader in Parliament; Mahama Ayariga, Majority Leader in Parliament; Fifi Fiavi Kwetey, General Secretary of the NDC; Johnson Asiedu Nketiah, National Chairman of the NDC; Justice Paul Baffoe-Bonnie, Acting Chief Justice of Ghana; and Alan Kyerematen, Leader of the Movement for Change.
