Former Black Maidens defender Zakaria Takia has completed a move to Jordanian women's league side Etihad Club. Takia has signed a deal to join Etihad Club for the 2025/26 season after leaving Pearl Pia Ladies.
She is expected to play a key role in the club's campaign as she arrives with huge experience from the Ghana Women's League, where she made over 50 appearances. "Zakaria Takia, a rising star in Ghana, is a defender for Ghana Women's U20 National Team, known for her precise passing and quick anticipation.
She began her career with Tamale Super Ladies FC before joining Pearl Pia Ladies FC in 2019," wrote the club, confirming her arrival. "Zakaria has represented Ghana at both U17 and U20 levels, competing in the FIFA U17 and U20 World Cup Qualifiers.
