The Presidential Envoy for Interfaith and Ecumenical Relations, , has revealed that his office has received numerous prophecies following a directive for all church and religious leaders in the country to share any prophecies concerning government appointees or other nationally significant matters for deliberation before making them public.
Speaking to Joy News on Thursday, August 14, 2025, he said, "We have received plenty, but I don't want to put numbers to it." Afriyie Ankrah disclosed that the majority of the prophecies lack substance. "By and large, 70-80% have no substance.
Then you look at the rest, the 20%, and sift through, and maybe 2, 3, or 5% may deserve further probing," he noted.
He stressed that the role of his office extends far beyond reviewing prophecies. "It's not a full-time job or an office set up solely to receive prophecies.
