The Catholic Archbishop of Kumasi, Most Rev Gabriel Justice Anokye, led a delegation to the Manhyia Palace on Wednesday, August 13, 2025 to pray for the Asantehene and to convey his sympathy message to the King, following the demise of the Asantehemaa, Nana Konadu Yiadom III.
The delegation also visited the Asantehemaa's court to officially convey their sympathies to the family and offer prayers as well.
Born Nana Ama Konadu, Nana Konadu Yiadom III was the 14th Asantehemaa and the biological sister of the current Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II.
The Oyoko Family confirmed the passing of the second most powerful person in Asanteman to the Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II at an emergency Asanteman Traditional Council meeting on Monday, August 11, 2025.
