The General Secretary of the (NPP), Justin Frimpong Kodua, has condemned insensitive social media commentary by some individuals linked to the party following the tragic helicopter crash at Sikaman in the Adansi Akrofuom District of the Ashanti Region.

Speaking during a visit to the (NDC) national headquarters on Wednesday, August 13, 2025, he described the comments as inappropriate and unfortunate. "There are certain comments made by people who may not even be close to the leadership of their party, but when such unfortunate and condemnable statements are made, it is important for the leadership to distance ourselves from them and make it clear that they do not reflect the values of our party.

Some are claiming the NPP is behind these events, and others are even saying they expected certain people to have died," he noted.

Kodua apologised to the government and President for any offence caused by individuals affiliated with the NPP. "If anything offensive or inappropriate has come from our side, I would like, on behalf of our party, to apologise to the NDC and, through you, to His Excellency President .
