Blue Water security guards engaged in a daring pursuit of suspected illegal miners, known as "galamseyers," on the Bia River in the Western Region.
The guards swiftly jumped into the water to chase after the fleeing individuals in a tensed situation that captured the attention of local residents.
According to an Instagram post shared on August 12, 2025, the galamseyers attempted to escape, prompting an immediate response from the security team. "In a tense pursuit on the Bia River, Blue Water security guards took to the water, swimming after galamseyers who were trying to escape," the caption accompanying the post read.
With determination, the guards plunged into the river, relentlessly pursuing the suspects.
