Veteran Nigerian rapper Jude Abaga, widely known as M.I, has raised concerns over the source of funding in the country's music industry, claiming that internet fraudsters play a major role in financing it.

Speaking on the So Nigerian podcast, he described the situation as a national embarrassment, noting that "the major funding for the industry comes from the West and the fraud industry.
