The General Legal Council has terminated Justice Nana Yaw Oppong's appointment as the Director of the Ghana School of Law and Legal Education, according to a thelawplatform.online report.

The termination will see him end his tenure abruptly on Sunday, August 31, 2025.

According to the report, "The abrupt end to the 4-year term of the Director of the Law School, who is famed as an authority in land law and a long serving lecturer of law at the Faculty and Practical Course level, comes as a surprise." Justice Oppong is reported to have announced this to students on Tuesday, August 12, 2025, and also given thanks to God for guidance and protection over the last three years that he has been at the helm of affairs.
