President of the Ghana Football Association Kurt E.S Okraku says the Black Stars remain on track for 2026 FIFA World Cup qualification.

Having missed out on 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), the West African giants has shifted their focus on the 2026 World Cup qualifiers, which resumes in September with upcoming matches against Chad and Mali.

Ghana has taken full control of Group I in the African qualifiers for the biggest soccer mundial to be staged in USA, Canada and Mexico.

Speaking at the 31st Ordinary Congress on Tuesday, Okraku affirmed the Black Stars remain on track to secure qualification to the World Cup tournament next year. "Though we regretfully missed out on AFCON 2025, the Black Stars remain on track for 2026 FIFA World Cup qualification in USA, Canada and Mexico" he told Congress members at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence.
