Black Stars goalkeeper Benjamin Asare, their ultimate aim is to secure qualification for the 2026 World Cup.  Ghana remain at the top of Group I with 15 points after six matches played in the qualifiers.

The four-time African champions will regroup in September for the Matchday 7 and 8 games of the qualifiers, where they will face Chad and Mali.

However, Asare, speaking to the media in an interview, emphasised that the team aims to qualify for the Mundial. "Qualifying for the World Cup is the most important thing to us, so I'm prepared for the qualifiers in September," the Hearts of Oak goalkeeper said.

He also appealed to fans to back the team. "I'm appealing to Ghanaians to support us to qualify," he added.
